Dr Ed Ghazal is an experienced General Practitioner with a strong background in surgery, medicine, and primary healthcare. Since graduating in 2009, he has worked across a range of clinical and surgical settings, gaining extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of both acute and chronic health conditions.

Dr Ghazal holds Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS) 2013 and the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) 2019, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Dr Ghazal is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA) and has undertaken advanced training in skin cancer medicine and dermoscopy, including Advanced Dermoscopy and Advanced Skin Cancer certification through the Skin Cancer College Australasia.

In recognition of his advanced surgical skills and knowledge in skin cancer medicine, Dr Ghazal was selected to become a tutor with the Skin Cancer College Australasia, contributing to the education and practical training of other doctors in skin cancer medicine and surgery.

Dr Ghazal has a particular passion for skin cancer medicine and surgery, combining his extensive surgical background with advanced training in skin cancer detection, dermoscopy, diagnosis, and procedural management. His procedural skills include skin cancer excisions and advanced reconstructive techniques, including local skin flaps and skin grafts. He performs these procedures on a wide range of anatomical sites, including technically and cosmetically sensitive areas such as the nose, ears, and face.

He is dedicated to providing comprehensive skin checks, early detection and diagnosis, and effective treatment of skin cancers, with an emphasis on achieving appropriate oncological treatment while considering functional and cosmetic outcomes.

In addition to skin cancer medicine, Dr Ghazal enjoys all aspects of general practice and values building long-term relationships with his patients and their families. His patient-centred approach focuses on delivering evidence-based care tailored to each individual's needs.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr Ghazal is a Senior Lecturer at Griffith University, where he is actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and future healthcare professionals.

Outside of medicine, Dr Ghazal enjoys spending time with his family, playing the guitar, padel, tennis and kite surfing.
